Base build upgrade — Shortland Street, Auckland CBD

Tower lobby with a coordinated grid of recessed downlights

Indicative photography — project photography to be confirmed

An occupied CBD tower with a switchboard and distribution that predated most of its tenants. The work was bringing the base build up to current standard without asking a single floor to stop trading.

That is a sequencing job more than an electrical one: temporary supplies, night changeovers, and a board that has to be live again by the time the lifts start running.

What we did
  • Main switchboard upgrade, staged
  • Sub-mains and riser distribution
  • Temporary supplies during changeover
  • Emergency lighting to AS/NZS 2293
  • As-builts and certification
